Our Campaign for Hunger
Food Pantry at Horizon: Horizon is establishing a Food Pantry to be stocked with “Care Kits” for those in our faith community who might need occasional help with groceries. The designated collection box can be found in the Worship Center on the first Sunday of each month only. Items needed are: peanut butter, tuna, rice, pasta, beans, cereal or other non-perishable food items. You may also donate laundry soap and cleaning products. If you have any questions or would like to help assemble the kits, please contact any Deacon. Thank you for helping us to be a blessing to those around us.
Matthews Crossing: On all other Sundays, food donations in the designated collection box go to Matthews Crossing food bank in Chandler which distributes to more than 3000 individuals and families. Matthews Crossing serves all the East Valley. Items that are especially needed include rice, beans, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, canned fish and peanut butter. Note that you may also donate hygiene items. They go to Health Care for the Homeless.
Note that the summer months are more important because donations are slower, so please keep up the good work!
