God's Garden Annual Transportation Day is an annual event held every year on the last Saturday in February from 9am-12pm here at Horizon Presbyterian Church! The event has vehicles such as a fire truck, ambulance, police car, helicopter, bookmobile, garbage truck, city bus, crane, UPS truck, and more. It is open to the public and cost is free. God’s Garden Child Development Center is hosting their 10th Annual Transportation Day on Saturday, February 27th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This is a much anticipated community event that is put on by the preschool and Horizon Presbyterian church as a way to give back to the community. This FREE event is for their preschool children, their families, their church’s congregation, and the PUBLIC. Last year close to 3,000 people attended the event and 42 vehicles were showcased. This year a Helicopter will be landing in front of the school at 9 am , and at 10 am several World War II replica airplanes will be doing fly-bys in formations and with smoke trailing!
They will have a wide variety of vehicles at the event again this year. (i.e. Helicopter, Fire truck, Ambulance, City bus, Police car, Police motorcycle, The Jelly Belly traveling RV, a NASCAR from Discount Tire, Garbage trucks, UPS truck, Street race cars, motorcycles, Sail boat, Mail truck, Limo, horses, etc…) There will be FUN activities for kids of all ages including a “Fun Zone” with area businesses like Erik Langhofer State Farm Insurance, Holy Yoga, NextCare Urgent Care, Gold Medal Swim School and others sponsoring the games, inflatable bouncers, slide, face painting, and a cakewalk.
Live entertainment will be provided by Horizon’s Praise Band, Ahwatukee Children’s Choir, Little GYM demonstration team, and Last Call just to name a few. There will also be food available by T.C. Luigi’s pizza, Bad Dogs Co., Jamba Juice, and Filiberto’s, along with other area restaurants. In addition to the many vehicles to explore, there will be many wonderful raffles, and tables with crafters and vendors. Come out and join the FUN! Who knows, you may win the NAPA Valley Get-away or a Get-away to Steamboat Springs, Colorado!
